Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you use Mecon on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company, and "you" includes that entity. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Mecon provides software tools to help startups monitor cash, burn, runway, yield, and related treasury metrics. Features may include dashboards, alerts, transaction views, bank connectivity via Plaid, and AI-assisted insights. We may modify, add, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practicable.

Authentication is provided via Clerk. Bank connections are facilitated by Plaid. Application data is stored using Supabase.

Mecon is a software tool only. We are not a bank, broker, credit institution, investment adviser, tax adviser, or fiduciary. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice. Metrics, alerts, and AI-generated insights are informational and may be incomplete or inaccurate. You remain solely responsible for your financial decisions and should seek qualified professional advice when needed.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract. You agree to provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@mecon.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

Connecting a bank is optional. By connecting through Plaid, you authorize access to the financial information you select. You represent that you have the right to share that data. You may disconnect a bank in Settings. Bank data accuracy depends on third parties; Mecon does not guarantee that balances or transactions are complete or current.

Certain features require a paid subscription. By purchasing a plan, you agree to the pricing, billing cycle, and taxes presented at checkout. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise. Failure to pay may result in suspension or limitation of paid features. We may change prices with notice; if you disagree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

New accounts may be offered a 14-day free trial of paid features, as described at signup or in-product. During the trial, you may access designated features without charge. Unless you cancel before the trial ends (where cancellation is available), a paid subscription may begin automatically if that is clearly disclosed when you start the trial. We may modify or discontinue trial offers at any time.

You may cancel a subscription at any time through your account billing settings or by contacting support@mecon.app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated. You will retain access to paid features until that period ends. You may also delete your account via Settings; deletion ends access to the Service and is subject to our Privacy Policy regarding data retention.

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting unauthorized access, disrupting infrastructure, violating law, scraping at scale, or using the Service to harm others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. MECON AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO MECON IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply. Courts in Pakistan will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
