Privacy Policy

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Account data: name and email address collected through Clerk when you register or sign in.
• Bank and financial data: when you connect a bank account via Plaid, we receive account identifiers, balances, and transaction data that you authorize. We do not receive or store your bank login credentials; those are handled by Plaid.
• Transaction data: synced transactions and related metadata stored in our Supabase database to power dashboards, alerts, and treasury insights.
• Company and settings data: information you enter in the product (for example company profile, payroll estimates, and alert preferences).
• Billing data: subscription status and limited payment metadata related to paid plans. Card details are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on Mecon servers.
• Usage and technical data: IP address, device/browser information, logs, and product usage needed to operate and secure the Service.

We use information to:

• Provide authentication and maintain your account
• Sync bank data and display balances, burn, runway, and related insights
• Generate alerts and product features you enable
• Process subscriptions and communicate about billing
• Provide customer support and respond to requests
• Secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with law
• Improve reliability and product quality

We do not sell your personal or financial data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We use trusted processors to operate Mecon. They may process data only to provide services to us:

• Clerk — authentication and user identity (name, email, sign-in)
• Plaid — bank account connection and financial data aggregation
• Supabase — database storage for application and transaction data

These providers maintain their own privacy practices. We share only what is needed to deliver the Service.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and authentication via Clerk. Data is stored with our infrastructure providers under industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@mecon.app.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Access and correct your account information
• Disconnect bank accounts in Settings
• Request deletion of your account and associated data via Settings or email
• Request a copy of certain personal data we hold about you
• Object to or restrict certain processing where the law allows

To exercise these rights, use in-product Settings where available or email support@mecon.app. We will respond within a reasonable time.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, session management, security, and preferences (such as theme). We do not use advertising cookies to track you across third-party sites for ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from working correctly.

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete your account or disconnect a bank, we delete or anonymize related data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Mecon is based in Pakistan. Your information may be processed in Pakistan and in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your data may be transferred to jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your own.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
